Staying Relevant With a Brand Refresh

A business should consider a logo refresh for several reasons. Firstly, in the ever-evolving world of branding and design, and whatever industry you’re in, staying relevant is crucial in appealing to a wide consumer base. 

A refreshed logo can signal growth, innovation, and adaptability, demonstrating a company’s commitment to keeping up with the times. Secondly, a well-executed logo update can help maintain brand recognition while giving it a contemporary look, potentially attracting new customers and rekindling the interest of existing ones. 

Lastly, a logo refresh provides an opportunity to refine and streamline a brand’s identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and platforms, ultimately contributing to a more cohesive and memorable brand image.

Here’s a few of the logo refreshes we’ve done.

 

AMG Built

The AMG Built logo was first designed several years ago by an in-house graphic design department at a newspaper. The abundant use of blue and yellow were important to AMG’s director as they represent the Irish county he hails from. We brought this personal history into the new logo design but reincorporated the colours in a less obvious way. The blue and yellow colour scheme underlines a bold, contemporary wordmark and is applied to all AMG Built client touchpoints. The logo refresh exercise and their new branding now better communicates AMG Built’s services to their audience.

Skyview Builders

This project was approached as a new brand and a quick glance at the previous logo will show you why. When you’re a word-of-mouth builder with no shortage of work, often your appearance is the last thing you think about. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But a logo encapsulates a company’s identity, reflects its values, mission, and personality. It tells consumers what the brand stands for and what they can expect from its products or services. 

Additionally, a good logo fosters brand recognition and recall, making it easier for consumers to identify and choose the business amidst a sea of competitors. Ultimately, a good logo builds trust, forms a memorable connection, and leaves a lasting impression, all of which are crucial for establishing and nurturing strong customer relationships. 

Although we didn’t reference the previous RH Contracting logo in any capacity, we conceived the Skyview Builders brand and logo design with the above in mind, opting for colour and strong geometry that speaks to the rich company history and industry reputation. ‘Builders’ forms a smaller element of the identity as the directors hope to develop ‘Skyview’ as a standalone name in years to come.

JTECH

JTECH Design & Construct have solidified their standing as the Gold Coast’s premier builder of high-end custom homes. A logo refresh was desired to match their brand with their standing in the residential construction market. Following on from their minimal and boxed logo, AC_Office conceived a timeless custom font that retains its sleek impression while creating far more impact. The thick JTECH wordmark is seen in sharp contrast across banner signage across the city. The JTECH team are immediately recognisable on the jobsite in their black shirts. While the previous JTECH boxed logo has merit, unfortunately, trends come and go and several other builders in the Gold Coast housing industry were following suit. The logo refresh design is timeless and was carried out across all client touchpoints to reinforce the strength of the JTECH name.
